Research Interests

• Dr Hu’s Research focuses on the signaling pathways of neuronal death and blood-brain barrier damage in cerebral vascular diseases. Recent research interest is the role of mitochondrial energy metabolism in the regulation of immune system and inflammation response in stroke. Dr Hu has published more than 60 peer reviewed papers, and serves as a reviewer of over 10 journals including Stroke, Neurobiology of Disease, and Journal of Neurochemistry etc. She is currently an editorial board member of Translational Stroke Research.
