Research field: Oncogenic PI3K signaling in cancer

Cancer metabolism and nutrition

Biography

  • Dr. Yujun Hao received his Ph.D. in Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009, and worked as postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Zhenghe Wang in Case Western Reserve University school of medicine. Dr. Hao joined Shanghai Cancer Institute and Shanghai Jiao Tong University school of medicine affiliated Renji Hospital in August 2017. He was awarded with Professor of Special Appointment (Eastern Scholar) at Shanghai Institutions of Higher Learning (2017); Shanghai Municipal Education Commission-Gaofeng Clinical Medicine Grant Support (2017) and Shanghai Academic/Technology Research Leader (2019). His research work focus on the mechanism of how oncogenic mutation of PIK3CA promote the tumorigenesis and targeted therapy strategy for such tumors. Another research interest is the reprogramming of metabolism in cancer and metabolic therapies for cancer.
