Biography

Xiaoyan Dong, M.D., graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, is a postgraduate instructor, and is currently the director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at Shanghai Children's Hospital. She has visited Yale University School of Medicine and the Institute for Basic Research on Developmental Disabilities in New York State Capital, USA. She specializes in the prevention and treatment of pediatric asthma, chronic cough, lung infections and other common pediatric respiratory diseases and illnesses. Currently, as a member of the Respiratory Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Collaborative Group on Chronic Cough in Children of the Pediatric Respiratory Group of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Collaborative Group on Pulmonary Function in Children of the Pediatric Respiratory Group of the Chinese Medical Association, and a member of the Pediatric Drug Committee of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice chairman of the Special Committee on Pediatric Allergic Reactions of the Chinese Maternal and Child Health Association. He has written and published more than fifty academic papers, SCI and professional books on pediatric respiratory diseases, and has presided over and participated in the research work of many national and municipal scientific research projects.
