The program falls within China’s first-class undergraduate discipline development. With strong faculty and abundant teaching and scientific research resources, SJTUSM offers a dual degree program in “Preventive Healthcare and Administrative Management”.
Distinctive courses include Biological Module, lemology foundation module, internal medicine, chirurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, health statistics, epidemiology, sanitary science, occupational health and occupational medicine, nutrition and food hygiene, child and adolescent health, hygiene toxicology, healthiness education, health economics, health science of law and health supervision, social medicine, health services management, modern hospital management and health policy analysis. For students who minor in administrative management for a second degree, they take additional courses such as principles of political science, public administration, analysis of public policy, human resource management of public sector and health management in the context of evidence-based decision making.
Graduates are engaged in administrative management, health supervision and disease control in government offices at all levels through China, health administrative department, disease prevention center, hospital, teaching research institution or enterprises.
