My scientific advice was   requested by the NIPD, China CDC by being an investigator for The United Nations   Office for Project Services-funded WHA-WHO demonstration project “Development   for Easy to Use and Affordable Biomarkers as Diagnostics for Types II and III   Diseases”, from 2016-2017.

I lead epidemiological studies   on malaria in African countries in collaboration with the following   institutions:

      University of Lomé, Togo

University of Lagos   and Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Nigeria

University of Health   and Allied Sciences, Ghana

My scientific advice was requested by the NIPD,   China CDC by having served   as facilitator and instructor on tropical diseases research themes,   especially on malaria surveillance and control to fellows from the following institutions:

Research   interest

Infection   and Host Immunity, Molecular Surveillance

My   primary   research interest focuses in the use of   immunologic, genetic, and high-throughput tools for the control and   prevention of malaria in advancing:

Understanding of humoral immune   responses to malaria antigens for correlates of clinical immunity.

Knowledge on pathogen-host   interactions and the roles protein expression plays in malaria severity.

Proteogenomic research to   understand structural variations of malaria blood-stage molecules in   functional complexes.

My   research interests also expand to molecular surveillance of relapsing fever Borrelia,   and other tick-borne diseases.

Projects

I have been participant/member of   research group awarded for the following projects:

Jan. 2012 To Dec. 2015: ‘Pathogenicity of Leptospira to different   hosts and cells and molecular mechanism of its

dissemination and excretion’, Grant   No. 81171534, National Natural   Science Foundation of China.
