Research Interests

My research interest is the study on immunological mechanism and preventive strategies against diseases such as infectious tuberculosis (TB) and autoimmune diseases such as system lupus erythematosus (SLE). I have been working on the exploration of diagnostic biomarkers and development of novel preventive vaccines against TB and latent TB infection. We have screened panels of novel mycobaceterial antigens with high immunogenencity both in active TB patients and mice, which facilitates their further expectation for vaccine development and biomarker determination. I am also working on molecular mechanisms of dysfunctional T cell immune responses in SLE where I mainly focus on the mechanisms of T-B interaction by using a unique mechanic system to calculate the adhesion of multiple molecular pairs in T-B interaction, which might provide quantitative criteria for the selection of therapeutic targets in clinic.
