Research Interest: basic and application research on developing biosensors and functional nucleic acids for disease diagnostic and food safety.
Dr. Qinqin Hu received her Ph.D. degree in biosystem engineering from Zhejiang University (2016), finished her postdoctoral training, and worked as an assistant professor at Institutes of Biomedicine of Fudan University (2016-2021). She is now an associate professor at School of Global Health, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (2022-now). Dr. Hu’s expertise is in the areas of establishing biosensors and screening functional nucleic acids. She is interested in the basic and application research on developing biosensors and functional nucleic acids for disease diagnostic and food safety. She especially focuses on 1) novel molecular diagnostic techniques (CRISPR/Cas-based) and nano/optical biosensors for food hazards surveillance and rapid disease diagnosis; 2) In vitro selection of functional nucleic acids including DNAzymes or aptamers for the identification of potential disease-related molecules. Dr. Hu has published over 10 papers (total IF > 100), wherein there are 6 papers with an impact factor of over 10. Her publications have been cited > 900 times (ESI = 1). She has published two academic book and authorized or applied 5 patents. Dr. Hu has hosted 4 research projects including the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
