In January 2017, the Core Facility of Basic Medical Sciences was established in the School of Medicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The unit is driven by the principles of "excellence, efficiency, and innovation" and seeks to cultivate a highly skilled technical team while employing advanced management and operational methods to fully leverage cutting-edge equipment. Its ultimate objective is to deliver professional, high-quality, and convenient technical services to support scientific researchers.

This platform integrates high-quality resources from the School of Medicine, comprising ten laboratories including flow cytometry, electron microscopy imaging, laser microscopy imaging, molecular morphology, proteomics, metabolomics, protein crystallography, radiation medicine, genomic library and drug screening & discovery. It is publicly accessible and welcomes individuals and organizations of diverse backgrounds to engage in consultation and collaboration.
