Major achievements
Prof. Huang’s research addresses critical gaps in chronic kidney disease (CKD) management, with a focus on enhancing self-care capabilities among maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Her contributions include:
(1) Personalized Care Models: Development of tailored interventions based on patient-specific profiles (e.g., comorbidities, lifestyle factors) to optimize treatment adherence and clinical outcomes. A novel self-management framework, structured around the ADOPT model (Attitude-Definition-Open Mind-Planning-Try it out), demonstrated a 35% improvement in patient engagement when validated across 100 MHD cases.
(2) Digital Health Integration: Design of a mobile health platform to bridge inpatient and outpatient care, enabling continuous monitoring of CKD complications (e.g., hypertension, hyperphosphatemia) and fostering patient empowerment through remote support systems.
(3) Workforce Development: Establishment of China’s first standardized competency framework for critical care blood purification nurses, featuring a 39-item evaluation index across five domains: theoretical knowledge, practical skills, professional growth, critical thinking, and ethical attributes. This evaluation index system can provide references for the recruitment, training and management of critical care blood purification nurses.
Over the past five years, Prof. Huang has secured over ¥500,000 research funding from municipal and institutional sources. Her scholarly contributions include 15 peer-reviewed publications as first or corresponding author in journals such as Nurse Education in Practice and Gastroenterology Nursing, focusing on topics ranging from chronic disease self-management to nursing education innovation.
