Bio

Qiu Xian, RN, has focused her research on Chronic disease nursing, especially on neuroscience nursing, including Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Rehabilitation nursing. She holds the position of Nurse Supervisor, Major in Neuroscience, Department of Nursing, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Since 2015, Qiu Xian has been committed to the research of anti-cancer supportive care: symptom management and quality of life for brain metastases patients. She has the project on the symptom clusters of the brain metastases patients after the Gamma knife treatment. She is also the member of Pain Nursing Committee of Shanghai Nursing Society.

Since 2018, Qiu Xian has the project of the chronic disease management, especially on the Parkinson’s Disease Nursing for the DBS treatment, focus on the case management model, smart health care, and non-motor symptom management area.
