Bio

Weiqing Zhang, a clinical research specialist in nursing at Ruijin Hospital, is a member of the Working Committee of Male Nurses of the Chinese Nursing Association and vice chairman of the Nutrition Support Committee of the Shanghai Nursing Association. He is also a member of the Chinese critical Care Ultrasound Study Group and critical care ultrasound training specialist.

He graduated from Henan University School of Nursing in 2007 and completed his postgraduate studies at the West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University from 2007 to 2013, where he obtained his doctoral degree. He started working at Ruijin Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in July 2013 and started nursing work in critical care in 2015.

His research focuses on areas related to nutritional support for critically ill patients, the application of critical care ultrasound technology to the assessment, monitoring, and forewarning of critical illnesses, and interdisciplinary research in related fields. He has obtained research projects from the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and several talent training projects with a total research fund of nearly 400,000 RMB in the recent five years. He has published dozens of scholarly papers, including several papers indexed by SCI, and filed five patent applications, including two invention patents.
