Biography

Dr. Wei Zhou works in College of Stomatology, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. She is a committee member of Society of Oral Biomedicine, Chinese Stomatological Association and has been selected into the professional research project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission-Summit & Plateau Disciplines. Her research focuses on periodontal medicine, and related mechanism between periodontitis and Alzheimer’s Disease. She has managed the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFCs), Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, Innovation Program of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and participated in National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program) and National Science and Technology Major Project for "Key New Drug Development". She has many publications in famous journals including EMBO Rep, J Neuroinflammation, FASEB J, Front Microbiol, et al. In addition, Zhou has got the first prize in Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution and the third prize in Shanghai Stomatology Science and Technology Award.
