RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Epigenetic regulation influences cell fate by controlling global gene expression in various cellular processes. On the other hand, epigenetic factors are also found to be mutated in many types of cancers. Our lab is interested in understanding the mechanisms how epigenetic factors regulate cell behavior and tissue regeneration under chronic injury. We also focus on how epigenetic dysfunction leads to cancer initiation and development. The long-term goal of our lab is to improve tissue regeneration while prevent cancer through epigenetic regulation.
