Laboratory of Neural Metabolism & Brain Health

Research Field

  • Metabolic interactions between neural cells

  • Metabolic control of neuroregeneration and neurodegeneration

  • Metabolic regulation of brain function

Personal Introduction

Dr. Han received his M.S. in biology from Northwest A&F University and his Ph.D. in neuroscience from Jinan University in China. He subsequently completed his postdoctoral training in neuropathology at Indiana University School of Medicine. In 2020, Dr. Han launched his own laboratory at Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine in the USA. Dr.Han`s lab aims to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate energy metabolism in CNS, how such mechanisms are altered during neuroregeneration and in neurodegenerative disorders, and ultimately develop the potential treatment strategy for brain metabolic disorders.
