上海市儿童医院小儿泌尿外科成立于20世纪70年代，是国内最早单独建立的小儿泌尿外科专业科室之一。现有床位36张，每年门急诊量超35000人次，手术量超4000例次，其中40%以上为III级以上手术。目前科室有主任医师1名，副主任医师4名，主治医师4名，住院医师3名。
泌尿外科能开展小儿泌尿外科所有诊治业务，包括包茎、隐匿阴茎、隐睾、鞘膜积液、腹股沟疝、遗尿等常见疾病；肾积水、膀胱输尿管反流、尿道下裂、泌尿系统结石、肾脏肿瘤、睾丸肿瘤、膀胱肿瘤等重大疾病；和尿道上裂/膀胱外翻复合畸形、性发育不良等复杂少见疾病。是上海市交通大学“先天性泌尿生殖系畸形外科诊治中心”和“性发育不良诊治中心”，在全国小儿泌尿系统率先开展机器人辅助手术。科室配备各种微创腔镜设备，拥有独立的尿流动力室和中心实验室。
全科现有博士生导师1名、硕士生导师2名，获多项国家自然科学基金及国家教育部、卫生部、上海市科委、上海市卫生局基金的资助，每年均有临床和基础研究成果发表于SCI及中华系列期刊。参与编译“实用小儿泌尿外科学”和“坎贝尔泌尿外科学（小儿泌尿部分）”等小儿泌尿外科经典专著。
Pediatric UrologyDepartment ofShanghai Children's Hospital was established in the 1970s. It is one of the earliest established pediatric urology departments in China. There are 36 inward beds.Each year we perform more than 4,000 surgeries of which more than 40% are grade III or above, and treat more than35,000 children.There are 1 chief physician, 4 deputy chief physicians, 4 attending physicians and 3 resident doctors.
Our multidisciplinary team of experts specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urologic disorders in children and adolescents,Theseinclude common diseasessuch asphimosis, concealed penis, cryptorchidism, hydrocele, inguinal hernia, enuresis, and severe disorderssuch ashydronephrosis, vesicoureteral reflux, hypospadias, urinary calculi, renaltumors, testicular tumors, bladder tumors, dysfunctional voiding, or othercomplex and rare diseases such asepispadias/ exstrophycomplex, disorder ofsexdevelopment. The departmentisawarded asthe “Congenital genitourinary malformation multidisciplinary center” and “Disorder ofsexdevelopment multidisciplinary center” of Shanghai Jiaotong University. Our team is the first to provide robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery for children in themainland of Chian. We conduct both clinical and basic (laboratory) research throughthe urodynamics testing clinic andthelaboratory center.
There are 1 doctoral tutor and 2 master tutors in the department.Thedepartment has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China,the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau. Each year, there are clinical and basicresearch results, which are published in SCI and Chinese series of journals.Thedepartment has participated in the compilation of "Practical pediatric urology" and "Campbell urology (pediatric urinary part)" and other classic pediatric urology monographs.
