Dr. Zhang received his PhD in Bioinformatics from Fudan University. His research includes novel computational methods, tools and databases in the biomedical field, with a particular focus on the combination of computational methods with specific experimental methods. The main

research fields include: 1. Optimal design of gene editing system based on machine learning/deep learning models; 2. Omic data mining and

knowledge discovery from public database. In the past five years, he has published 9 first-author (including co-authored) SCI papers,obtained 1 patent and 1 software copyright. He had invited to serve as the theme editor of "Frontiers in Genetics".
