Ying Wang has been engaged in teaching and scientific research for nearly 20 years. In the study, she found that there is a high incidence of psychosocial problems among MSM in China. She reported for the first time that there is a syndemic effect between psychosocial problems. The syndemic effect of psychosocial problems such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression and loneliness will lead to the occurrence of high-risk behaviors of HIV and the increase of infection risk. The results were published in BMC infection Disease, Journal of sex research and other magazines. She also established a prediction model of HIV infection risk among MSM in China and found that psychosocial factors were important factors in predicting HIV infection risk. She also explored the occurrence path of social psychological problems of other sexual minorities and the mediating role of different factors in social psychological problems.
