Has been professor of pediatrics, and professor of clinical epidemiology at Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine since 2011. Dr. Ouyang is also an adjunct professor of maternal and child health at the Department of Maternal and Child health, School of Public Health in the same university. Dr. Ouyang received her M.D from Fudan University (Shanghai Medical University) in 1993, Ph.D degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Fudan University in 2001, and Master degree of Science from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2009. In 2004, Dr. Ouyang was invited to Harvard School of Public Health as a postdoctoral fellow and visiting scholar. She joined Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Children’s Memorial Hospital and Children’s Memorial Research Center, as a research associate during 2005-2011. In 2013, She was invited to the Center of Early Life Origins of Diseases at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University as a visiting professor for 3 months.

Dr. Ouyang’s researches focus on early life environmental exposure, fetal growth and child health. She has been studying the environmental and genetic risk factors of diseases including childhood obesity/metabolic syndrome and its biomarkers, and intervention of childhood obesity/metabolic syndrome in early life. She had published more than 100 papers, among which more than 80 papers were published in leading international SCI-index journals including Environmental Health Perspectives, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and Bulletin of the World Health Organization.
