Recently, the results of the "Science Popularization Lights Up Healthy Shanghai" - the 3rd Shanghai Health Science Popularization Leading Demonstration Activity and the New Era Health Science Popularization Competition, hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission and the Office of the Shanghai Patriotic Health Campaign Committee, and organized by the Shanghai Health Promotion Center, were announced. The micro-film "Battle against Virus: Xinxin's Adventure in the Crazy Pathogen City" was awarded the first prize in the category of Outstanding Health Science Popularization Works (Audio-Visual) at this event. Wang Hui and Lu Weiyi from the School of Public Health, Zhuang Jianlin from the Changning District Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Changning District Health and Hygiene Supervision Institute of Shanghai), Tang Lifeng from Shanghai Media Group, Zhang Shuxian from the School of Public Health, Long Min from Shanghai People's Radio Station, were honored for their contributions to this award-winning work.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of experts, adopting the core concept of "Science + Art + Education," to create the micro-film Battle against Virus: Xinxin's Adventure in the Crazy Pathogen City, centered around the theme of infectious disease prevention and control. The film personifies viruses and, through the main storyline of viruses attacking humans, systematically conveys knowledge about the transmission mechanisms of infectious diseases and protective measures. It aims to enhance scientific literacy and health protection capabilities among the public, especially among teenagers.
The work narrates the story of a young girl named Xinxin and her family encountering various strange virus families in the Pathogen City within a parallel universe. During this journey, Xinxin gradually acquires the secrets and courage to protect herself and safeguard the Earth. The micro-film has been promoted on platforms such as Xuexi Qiangguo (Learning Power), Kepu China (Science Popularization China), China Science Popularization Network, Shanghai Science Popularization Network, Weibo, Bilibili, Huajiazi, Baijiahao, and WeChat Video Channels.
