心血管内科创建于1957年，是上海最早的心血管内科专科，卫生部国家临床重点专科，教育部重点专科以及首批国家心血管专科医师培训基地，卫生部心血管介入诊疗“全技术”培训基地（冠脉介入、结构性心脏病介入和心律失常）及上海交通大学医学院临床医学8年制心血管教学培训基地。作为南方最大的心肺血管疾病专科医院的心内科，60年多来为中国的心血管事业培育了无数英才，是国内为数不多的集“胸痛，房颤，心衰”三大中心于一身的学科之一，同时是中国胸痛中心质控中心挂靠单位。
上海市胸科医院心血管内科擅长治疗各类心肺血管疾病，尤其各种疑难杂症，在冠心病、心律失常、先天性心脏病、瓣膜性心脏病，心肌疾病以及心力衰竭等领域均形成自己特色。尤其擅长各类心血管疾病的经导管介入诊疗技术，近年来积极开展了房颤的一站式治疗（左心耳封堵＋射频消融），希氏束／左束支起搏等生理性起搏技术，冠心病的经导管激光消斑技术，经导管主动脉瓣置换术／肺动脉瓣置换术，肺静脉支架术等新技术。在复杂冠心病的介入治疗及急性心肌梗死再灌注治疗策略与微循环保护，心房颤动的综合治疗（射频消融，左心耳封堵，抗凝等），瓣膜性心脏病的介入治疗，心肺血管结构异常的介入治疗以及前沿心脏起搏技术等领域均处于国内领先地位，在国际上特别是亚太地区有一定影响力，房颤射频消融的数量多年位居亚太地区前列。在危重心血管疾病救治，终末期心力衰竭内外科综合治疗等领域也处于全国领先地位。
心内科目前拥有床位近200张，设有一个CCU病房，一个带有5台DSA机器的心导管室，一间杂交手术室以及超过1000平米的心血管转化医学平台。学科人才雄厚，梯队齐全，拥有卫生部突出贡献中青年专家1人，国务院政府特殊津贴3人，上海市领军人才1人，上海市医学领军人才1人，二级教授2人，博士生导师3人，硕士生导师4人，80%的医生具有博士学位。学科以“做最好的心脏”为宗旨，努力做到“人无我有，人有我精，人精我强”，贯彻“以病人为中心”的服务理念，以“立足上海，服务全国，面向世界”为己任，为病人提供优质贴心的医疗服务。
Cardiology Department
Established in 1957, the cardiology department is the first specialized cardiovascular department in Shanghai. It is a State Key Clinical Specialty appointed by Ministry of Health, a Key Discipline appointed by Ministry of Education, one of the first standardized training bases of cardiologists, an “all trans-catheter therapeutic techniques” training base of cardiovascular interventional diagnosis and treatment technology appointed by Ministry of Health (intervention for coronary heart disease, structural heart disease and cardiac arrhythmia), and the only cardiovascular training base for core curriculum of 8-year clinical medicine program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine.
As the cardiology department specializing in cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, it has trained numerous elite cardiologists for 60 years, and it is one of the few cardiology departments in China that have integrated licensed Chest Pain Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, and Heart Failure Center simultaneously. Meanwhile, it is an affiliated unit of Quality Control of China Chest Pain Center.
The department experts in various cardiovascular and pulmonary vascular diseases, especially in difficult and intractable diseases, and has established its own characteristics in the fields of coronary artery disease (CAD), cardiac arrhythmia, congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease (VHD), cardiomyopathy, heart failure and so on. With superior proficiency in transcatheter interventional diagnosis and treatment for various types of cardiovascular diseases, the department has actively applied new technologies into clinical practice, including “one-stop” therapy for atrial fibrillation (AF) (left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) + radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA)), physiological pacing such as His-bundle/left bundle branch pacing, excimer laser coronary atherectomy, transcatheter aortic/pulmonary valve replacement, andpulmonary vein stenting.
The department stays at the domestic leading edge in the fields of complex CAD intervention, reperfusion therapeutic strategy formulation for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and microcirculation protection, comprehensive management for AF (RFCA, LAAO, anticoagulation and etc.), VHD intervention, cardiopulmonary vascular abnormalities intervention, and frontier cardiac pacing technique, with substantial international influence especially in the Asian-Pacific region, and the number of RFCA cases for AF has topped Asian-Pacific region for many years. Moreover, the department holds an advanced position nationwide in areas of critical cardiovascular disease treatment and medical & surgical comprehensive treatment for end-stage heart failure.
Equipped with approximately 200 beds currently, the department has a CCU ward, a cardiac catheterization laboratory with five DSA systems, a hybrid operation room and a translational cardiovascular medical center covering over 1,000 square meters. With abundant professional strength and complete echelon construction, the talent team included one Ministry-of-Health-nominated young and middle-aged expert with prominent contributions, three recipients of the State Council Special Allowance, one Shanghai Leading Talent, one Shanghai Leading Medical Talent, two second-grade professors, three doctoral supervisors, four master supervisors, and 80 percent of the staff own doctor’s degree.
The department aims at “Be the Best Cardiology Department,” and endeavors to achieve “acquire what others haven’t, master what others acquire, and heighten what others master.” It implements the idea of patient-oriented, takes “base on Shanghai, serve the country, and face the world” as its own duty, and provides medical service of quality and consideration to patients.
