上海交通大学基础医学院病理学系承担交大医学院本科和研究生的病理教学，基础与转化医学研究以及附属上海市第一人民医院的病理诊断工作。目前是上海市第一人民医院高原重点专科、上海市“振龙头”临床重点专科。病理学系2018年为16万患者提供了诊断服务，拥有丰富的临床样本资源用于医学研究。目前主要的研究方向包括肿瘤的分子分型与靶向治疗，肿瘤微环境与细胞免疫治疗，以及人工智能诊断与大数据在病理诊断中的应用等。2018年发表论文总影响因子为45.2。在胃癌和乳腺癌的分子分型和靶向治疗研究中取得了突破性进展，阐明了胃癌独特的发病机制及对靶向药物耐药的原因；发现了胃黏膜损伤和血中胃泌素水平降低是乳腺癌危险因素；胃泌素是胃癌和乳腺癌防治的的重要候选药物。

Department of Pathology, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shanghai Jiaotong University, undertakes pathology teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate, basic medicine and translational medicine research, and pathological diagnosis of Shanghai First People's Hospital. At present, the department of pathology is the key discipline of Shanghai First People's Hospital and the clinical key specialty of Shanghai. We provided diagnostic services to 160,000 patients in 2018 and has extensive clinical sample resources for medical research. Our main research directions include molecular typing and targeted therapy of tumors, tumor microenvironment and cellular immunotherapy, and the application of artificial intelligence diagnosis and big data in pathological diagnosis. The total impact factor for papers published in 2018 is 45.2. Our research has made breakthroughs in the molecular typing and targeted therapy of gastric cancer and breast cancer, clarifying the unique pathogenesis of gastric cancer and the causes of drug resistance to targeted drugs, finding gastric mucosal damage and blood gastrin levels reduction is a risk factor for breast cancer; gastrin is an important candidate for the prevention and treatment of gastric cancer and breast cancer.
