Studying and living at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine Pudong Campus places you in the convenient and vibrant heart of a modern new district. To help you settle into your new environment with peace of mind, here is a practical guide prepared especially for you.

Safety First: Important Reminders

Shanghai is nationally renowned as a safe city with a leading public security environment. To help you enjoy your study abroad life with greater ease, we still kindly remind you to maintain essential safety awareness:

  • Document & Valuables Safety: Please be sure to keep your passport and other important documents safe. For daily outings, it is advisable to carry only your student ID card and a copy of your passport, as these serve as valid identification both on campus and within Shanghai. Please try to avoid carrying large amounts of cash.

  • Personal & Information Security: Please remain vigilant against unfamiliar phone calls, text messages, and online links to guard against scams. If you travel away from campus, be sure to store your important belongings securely in a safe place, and before departing, confirm that the power in your dorm room is turned off and that doors and windows are locked.

  • Emergency Response: In any emergency situation, please first dial the appropriate emergency number, and immediately report the incident to the International Students Office. The teachers will provide you with necessary assistance and support without delay.
