On June 3^rd 2017, thousands of International Students from 29 universities and colleges, such as Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, East China University of Science and Technology etc. took part in the 10^th Dragon Boat Race of University and College International Students in Shanghai held in Feng Xian Campus of East China University of Science and Technology.

    Mr. Liu Jinghui, Secretary-general of China Scholarship Council, Mr. Ding Xiaodong, Deputy Director of Shanghai Education Committee, Mr. Yang Weiren, Director of Shanghai Education Committee International Exchange Department, Mr. Zhou Hehua, Deputy President of Shanghai Branch of Bank of China, Mr. Qian Feng, Deputy Headmaster of East China University of Science and Technology, teachers from universities and colleges and the international students shared the happiness together.

    2017 is the 10^th year of the race. After 2 rounds Competition, East China Normal University won the 1^st prize, Donghua University was the 2^nd, and East China University of Science and Technology was the 3^rd. Team members of our School were from Russia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, USA, Burma etc. Although they were the first time to row a dragon boat, after the direction of coach, all the team members achieved their best result in the race. Besides, through the garden party of East China University of Science and Technology, the international students experienced Chinese musical instruments, flower arrangement, Han Chinese clothing, Chinese calligraphy, Beijing Opera and so on.

    Our school has taken part in the race for 10 years, and it has become one of the most popular activities in the international cultural life on campus. The dragon boat race is not only a game, it’s an activity for international students to experience Chinese culture and do in Rome as Rome does.
