Biography

Wang Yu is the chief physician and deputy director of administration in the Department of Child Health Care of Children's Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. She has a doctorate in medicine, a master's degree, and a national level 2 psychological counselor. She received her undergraduate degree in pediatrics from China Medical University and her master's degree in child health care from Shanghai Jiaotong University. She received her PhD in medical genetics from Shanghai Jiaotong University from September 2010 to June 2013, and during her PhD, she mainly worked on the pathogenesis of autism epigenetics. From April 2019 to March 2020, she was a visiting scholar at Yale University School of Medicine and Duke University School of Medicine, focusing on the clinical rehabilitation and pathogenesis of autism. She is a member of the Autism Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Maternal and Child Health Association, a member of the Youth Group of the Pediatric Health Branch of the Chinese Medical Association's Pediatrics Branch, the deputy leader of the Developmental Behavior Group of the Shanghai Pediatric Society, and a council member of the Shanghai Trace Element Society. In recent years, he has been mainly engaged in clinical work and basic and applied research of autism rehabilitation and clinical research of integrated medical-teaching-family intervention of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and has presided over and participated in many projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Shanghai Municipal Science Committee, and published more than 50 papers in SCI and core journals. He has long been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of developmental behavior disorders in children.
