Biography

Sheng Guo, male, is the deputy director of the Department of Endocrine Genetics and Metabolism of Shanghai Children's Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, deputy chief physician and master research supervisor. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2010 with an MD degree (in pediatrics) and went to the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine from January 2012 to January 2014 for a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology. His research focuses on: GI/respiratory flora interactions; brain-gut-microbe axis and child growth and development. He is a member of the Endocrinology Group of the 18th Chinese Medical Association Pediatric Branch, a member of the Pediatric Endocrinology Group of the 11th Shanghai Medical Association Pediatric Branch, and a member of the 1st Committee of the Sports Medicine Physicians Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association. He was a member of the Youth Group of the Respiratory Group of the Pediatric Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and a member of the Youth Group of the Endocrinology Group. In 2017, he was awarded the third prize of the 15th Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Award (second finisher) In 2018, he was awarded the National Science and Technology Award for Maternal and Child Health (third prize in natural science) Second finisher. He has presided over one project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and four projects at provincial and municipal level.
