Biography

Haibo Zhang, male, Ph. D., Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Deputy Director of Cardiac Center, Deputy Director of Shanghai Institute of Pediatric Congenital Heart Diseases, Shanghai Children's Medical Center. He has long been working in the front line of pediatric congenital heart disease surgery, specializing in the surgical correction of complex congenital heart disease and cardiac surgery mosaic treatment, and has deep attainment in the clinical application of complex congenital heart surgery treatment for newborns and infants, correction of various valve lesions, single ventricle correction, cardiac tumors, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy correction level with valve pipeline. His main basic research interests are: basic and clinical research of tissue engineering vessels, 3D printing and computerized hemodynamics-assisted optimization of surgical design, etc. Currently, he is the vice chairman of Cardiovascular Surgery Committee of Shanghai Medical Association, vice chairman of Cardiac Surgery Branch of Shanghai Physicians Association, vice chairman of Maternal and Child Heart Disease Committee of Chinese Society of Research Hospitals, vice chairman of Congenital Heart Disease Prevention and Treatment Expert Committee of National Center for Telemedicine and Internet Medicine, standing committee member of Cardiovascular Surgery Branch of Chinese Physicians Association and vice chairman of Congenital Heart & Critical Care Group, etc. He is also a member of AATS, ECG, and ECG. He is also a member of AATS, ECHSA, ECHSA database system and editorial board member of THE THORACIC AND CARDIOVASCULAR SURGEON. At present, he is working on 6 research projects (2 national funds) and has published more than 40 papers/SCI papers in the past 5 years. He has won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Education, the Song Qingling Prize of Pediatric Medicine, the third prize of Shanghai Medical Progress and other awards.
