On December 30, the "Great Pediatrician" series of activities sponsored by the School of Pediatrics was successfully held in Room 107 of the East Middle School of Minhang Campus. Lin Qian, director of the office of the School of Pediatrics, Yang Hongrong, deputy director, Zhang Dandan, director of student comprehensive affairs, Liu Leshi, counselor, and all the "5+3" students of the 2024 pediatrics major participated in the activity.

The director of the office of the School of Pediatrics briefly introduced the basic situation of the school of Pediatrics, and made a detailed interpretation of the teaching arrangement and student training requirements of the specialty of pediatrics. Wang Bo, a grade 22 doctoral student in pediatrics, and Zhang Zhiyue, a grade 19 "5+3" master student in pediatrics, shared their experiences from the perspectives of scientific research and clinical practice.

Wang Bo gave a detailed account of his five years of study and life experience in the university, as well as the problems he encountered on the road of scientific research and learning, the process of overcoming and the valuable methods accumulated. Zhang Zhiyue focuses on clinical practice experience, and shares his communication skills and clinical insights with children and their families in practical work through his own personal experience and vivid clinical cases.

Subsequently, the participating teachers and students had a roundtable exchange on professional learning, career planning and other topics. The atmosphere was warm and the harvest was full.

As a rising star of the "Great Pediatrician" series of activities, this activity aims to help pediatric students establish correct career ideals and beliefs through peer exchanges and interviews, build a bridge of communication for pediatric students in school, and help them better plan their study life and future career development path. At the same time, through the comprehensive understanding of the school of Pediatrics, students are also encouraged to study hard, seek truth and pragmatism, actively participate in the pediatric medical career, inherit and carry forward the professional spirit and responsibility of pediatricians, and contribute to the protection of children's health.
