OnMay 9 to 13, the 2024NationalContinuing EducationProgram "Train the Healthcare Simulation Trainer"(THST), sponsored by the Pediatric College and Continuing Education College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, was successfully held in the Medical School. More than30teachers from multiple provinces and cities participated in thetraining.

THST program lasted for 5 days, focusing on training formedical simulationtrainer, and carried out training in the form oflectures, visits and workshops. Chen Yiqi, Full time Vice Dean of the Pediatric College,Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Bian Zhengqian, director of the Simulation Training Center of Renji Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and Li Bo, Shanghai Children's Medical Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, facilitated the workshops.This trainingprogram, withtask-based learning,led students to learn the entire process of simulated teaching, including basic theories of simulation,scenario,implementation,assessmentanddebriefing.The entire process was rich in content and highly targeted.

After the training, the participants actively affirmed the novelty, practicality, importance, and urgency of the training content, and fully expressed their support and expectations forTHST. They said they would introduce the training to their colleagues. The Pediatric College and the Continuing Education College will continue to carry out relevant training, in order to establish an efficient platform for medical simulation.
