On May 18-22,the National Continuing Education Course "Outcome Based MedicalSimulationTeacherTraining", sponsored by the PediatricCollegeand Continuing EducationCollege,Shanghai Jiao Tong UniversitySchool of Medicine, was successfully heldin the Medical School. Pu Chuanhai,the vice Dean of Continuing EducationCollege,Chen Yiqi, Full time Vice Dean of thePediatricCollege,Shanghai Jiao Tong UniversitySchool of Medicine,and Zou Yang, Consultant of the National Medical Examination Center Test Question Development Committee, attended thecourse opening ceremony. More than 40teachersfrom multiple provinces and cities across the country participated in this training.
The training course lasted for 5 days, focusing on themedical simulation teacher training, with task-based learning as the characteristic for training and practice. This training workshop designed simulated teaching tasks for students.Under the guidance of thetutorsand combined with medical education theory, students began to understand the basic theory of simulated teaching, write simulated lesson plans, run lesson plans, and practice review. The entire teaching processwasrich in content and highly targeted.
From teaching or clinical needs, lesson plans writingwasbased on the most basic operation of undergraduate and regular training. Each lesson plan independently written by the students in thecourseincorporatedmedical humanities, reflecting the ideological and political aspects of the course in the simulated teaching process.Thelesson plan involvedurine catheterization➕communication,fracture fixation➕communication, emergency intubation➕team and difficult communication, bad news delivery, etc.
After the training, the participants provided feedback on the training. They actively affirmed the novelty, practicality, importance, and urgency of the training content,and fully expressed their support and expectations for simulated teaching teacher training.
The second phase of teacher training for this project will be held from July 13thto 17th.
