On the afternoon of April 27, the teacher-student symposium of the second semester of the 2022-2023 school year of Pediatrics was successfully held in the Medical School. More than 30 teachers and students attended this meeting, including Chen Yiqi, the full-time vice president of the School of Pediatrics, the teacher representatives of the course team, the teaching management staff, and the student representatives.

At the meeting, Yang Hongrong, deputy director of the office of the School of Pediatrics, reported the opening of this semester's courses and gave feedback on the supervision. In this semester, the School of Pediatrics set up 9 courses with a total of 626 hours for "5+3" of pediatrics major at Grade 20 and Grade 21 and four + four master and doctoral classes at grade 21. The teaching operation was stable and orderly. The expert supervision affirmed the curriculum and teachers of the school of Pediatrics, and suggested strengthening the construction of curriculum connotation and improving the quality of curriculum teaching.

At this meeting, student representatives also gave feedback on the teaching comments. First of all, the students said that the integrated course organically integrates the basic, clinical and pediatric contents, which can promote the students to have a thorough understanding of knowledge and is conducive to the cultivation of clinical thinking. It is suggested to carry out integrated curriculum and PBL curriculum education before class to strengthen students' understanding of the curriculum system and get into the learning state faster. At the same time, it is suggested to improve the course teaching sequence, the quality of teaching cases, the homogenization of probation teaching and the integration of teaching materials.

The teacher representatives of each course team responded to the feedback of the supervision and the opinions of students, and said that they would further strengthen the collective lesson preparation of basic and clinical teachers, do a good job in the effective integration of basic and clinical teaching, and improve the characteristics of pediatrics. Further sorting out and improving the teaching objectives, reasonable arrangement of teaching content and teaching sequence, strengthening the construction of curriculum connotation; Pay attention to the discussion course and the lesson preparation of the internship course, ensure the teaching homogenization;Emphasis should be placed on teaching methods, case selection and student interaction to improve teaching effect.

Finally, Chen Yiqi, the full-time vice President of the School of Pediatrics, once again thanked all the teachers and students for their support to the teaching work of the school of Pediatrics. It is hoped that in the subsequent teaching work, teachers should strengthen the communication between teachers and students, stick to innovation, improve the teaching of PBL and CBL, accelerate the pace of the development of undergraduate simulation teaching, and further explore and innovate in the reform of curriculum evaluation, so as to effectively improve the teaching effect. The College of Pediatrics will continue to do a good job in teaching management and service, ensure the smooth and orderly teaching, and steadily promote the pediatric specialty "5+3" integrated talent training.
