In order to give full play to the leading role of peers, cultivate excellent learning style, stimulate learning motivation, and guide pediatric students to reasonably plan their professional study and after-school life, on the morning of March 8th, the Pediatric School of Pediatrics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, successfully launched the pediatric peer learning experience sharing and exchange Salon in Conference Room 213, Wenxuan Building, Minhang Campus. Chen Yiqi, full-time Deputy Dean of Pediatrics College, Liu Zhenhua, director of Student Affairs Section of Minhang General Office of Academic Reference Committee of Medical College, Zhang Dandan, director of Student General Affairs Office of Pediatrics College, Liu Leshi, counselor of Grade 2022, and all "5+3" students majoring in pediatrics of Grade 22 participated in this salon activity, and Zhang Dandan presided over this activity.
At the beginning of the activity, Liu Zhenhua, director of Student Affairs Section of Minhang General Office of Medical College, warmly welcomed the leaders and guests of the School of Pediatrics. She said: the beginning of the new semester, on behalf of the students' study, life set sail again. Today, the School of Pediatrics invited 3 pediatric peers to discuss and share experience on "pediatric specialty and scientific research learning" and "career planning". I hope this activity can bring new ideas and new directions for the new semester planning of the students.
Zhang Zhiyue, a "5+3" undergraduate majoring in pediatrics in 2019, has always taken "helping children grow up healthily and happily" as her career ideal. She wants to be a ready pediatrician while also trying to stick to her photography hobby. As a sharer, she says that combining her hobbies with her major is her most satisfying achievement. She likes being a pediatrician because children are cute. Being able to capture their recovery on camera is an amazing feeling. At the activity site, she showed some of the volunteer activities she recorded to help children's health for Grade 22 students. I hope you can do the same as her, and use the smiling moments when children recover to heal yourself and encourage yourself to move forward and go further and further on the road of pediatrics."
Jiang Daiji, a "5+3" undergraduate student majoring in clinical medicine (Pediatrics), is also an "intern doctor" who will graduate soon. He briefly introduced the learning environment and atmosphere of the college of Pediatrics for Grade 22 students. With the theme of "How to plan extracurricular life in college", he shared books suitable for college students and valuable learning experience. As a "student activist", he values his professional studies as well as his extracurricular life. He takes an active part in, organizes and assists various activities for young students inside and outside the school to show his special talents and exercise his abilities, and actively improves his comprehensive quality in exchange and practice. He hoped that the participants would pay more attention to physical and mental health, pay attention to professional learning, and develop "morality, intelligence, body, beauty and labor" in an all-round way. They would actively participate in various youth activities and public welfare activities, help the development of children's health cause, and strive to become an ideal, warm and outstanding innovative talent in pediatric medicine.
The last person to share is Pan Wenfeng, a PhD candidate in pediatric surgery, Class 2021, from the Children's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. He is an excellent learning model, always bearing in mind the primary responsibility of "study hard and make progress every day" as a student, diligently studying, steadfast and enterprising. He is also an excellent youth role model. He is active in the volunteer team of college students, doing practical things for teachers and students, and serving children enthusiastically. He shared his valuable experience in professional learning and career planning for Grade 22 pediatric students, encouraging them to work hard, study hard, improve their professional level and enrich their knowledge. At the same time, clear professional direction, as soon as possible to carry out career planning, for the early realization of pediatric career ideal.
After the topic sharing, the three speakers had a roundtable discussion with the students of Grade 22. Share thoughts and experiences on professional learning and life together. The atmosphere was warm and the students said that the activity was full of harvest. It not only guided the direction for the study and life of the new semester, but also increased the cohesion and belonging of the teachers and students of the school of Pediatrics.
