Under the guidance of the Academic Affairs Office and the School of Pediatrics of Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College, and with the support of the School of Pediatric Clinical Medicine of Shanghai Children's Medical Center, the course "Pediatric Medical Humanities Education - Service Learning" continues to promote the course construction and is deeply loved by students.

Ji Qingying, the course leader and the director of the Medical Humanities Teaching and Research Office, said that the children's center aims at "cultivating innovative talents with warmth and soul", adheres to the core education concept of "cultivating humanities to moisten skills, and cultivating good doctors to benefit the public", sets up interdisciplinary and integrated teaching teams, builds a number of standardized human practice bases, carries out various forms of human practice activities, and incubates a series of human construction achievements, Through the "four heart education", that is, cultivating patriotism, keeping the original heart of the medical road, cultivating the benevolence of doctors, and offering deep love, students are guided to sympathize with the sufferings of patients in the practice of humanistic services, and learn to show empathy, and gradually grow into "pediatricians with temperature".

From September 2022, the curriculum of Pediatric Medical Humanities Education will be expanded to 122 class hours. As a compulsory course, it is aimed at all pediatric clinical medical students and runs through the whole process of training pediatric medical students in four stages.
