Research Interest: The Core Competencies of Global Health and One Health, Public Health Chronic Disease Prevention
Shuxun WANG, as administrative management office staff in School of Global Health, Chinese Center for Tropical Diseases Research, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, is responsible for undergraduate teaching operation management, teaching quality management, and teaching infrastructure management. She also takes responsibility for graduate enrollment, training and management, graduate courses management and construction of postgraduate teaching base.
At present, Ms. Wang's field is mainly on the core competencies of Global Health and One Health, and finding the literacy and skills that clinical medicine undergraduates should have after completing the Global Health course, as well as the training of one health talents that are currently needed internationally.
Ms. Wang graduated from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and RMIT University in 2018 with a bachelor degree in Food Quality and Safety. In her studies at NJUCM in China, she focused on food toxicology, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis and food engineering. During her studies at RMIT University in Australia, she mainly focused on Food Nutrition.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Wang received her MPH in 2021 from the University of Sydney with her research interests in Chronic Disease Prevention and Public Health Program Evaluation. In particular, it focused on the health prevention of Torres Strait Islanders and Aboriginal communities in Australia, the impact of inhaled anesthetics on atmospheric environment and cancer prevention intervention.
