上海市精神卫生中心（上海市心理咨询中心）始建于1935年，前身为上海普慈疗养院、上海市精神病防治院。目前，中心拥有完整的临床科室和雄厚的技术力量。中心实际开放床位2141张，设有普通精神科、临床心理科、康复科、儿少、自愿戒毒康复等临床科室。中心还设立了上海市精神卫生热线12320-5，是上海市最早开通的热线之一，为各类精神障碍患者和有心理问题的市民提供心理咨询服务。上海市精神疾病临床医学中心、老年精神病学和预防精神病学是上海市重点医学学科。中心是世界卫生组织精神卫生研究与培训合作中心之一，与世界各国精神卫生界开展了广泛的学术交流和科研合作。

Shanghai Mental Health Center (Shanghai Psychological Consultation Center) was established in 1935. Its predecessor was Mercy Hospital, Shanghai Psychiatric Hospital.At present, the center has a complete set of clinical departments and strong technical force. It has 2,141 beds and set up general psychiatry department, clinical psychology department, rehabilitation department, child and adolescent, voluntary drug rehabilitation and etc. The center also set up the Shanghai mental health hotline 12320-5, which is one of the earliest hotlines in Shanghai, providing psychological counseling services for patients with various mental disorders. The center is actively engaged in the clinical application of psychiatry research.  Shanghai clinical medical center for mental diseases, geriatric psychiatry and preventive psychiatry are the key medical disciplines in Shanghai. As one of the cooperative centers of WHO Collaborating Center for Research &Trainging in mental health, it has a wide range of academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation in the world.
