生物化学与分子细胞生物学系是上海交通大学医学院基础医学院建立的第一个系，是基于生命科学发展的趋势和学科建设的总体布局而建立，并成为学院学科建设的示范，目前已经通过建立现代化的“PI制”学科管理机制，形成了系统的研究体系和严谨、踏实、合作、积极的学术氛围，建立了以本系为主体的“上海市肿瘤微环境与炎症重点实验室”，并进入上海市高原学科建设，为医学科学研究的发展和医学卓越人才培养提供重要的支撑作用。本系致力于肿瘤、心血管、代谢和神经系统疾病相关的分子细胞生物学问题，从基因、蛋白质到生物学过程展开交叉与整合性的研究。近年聚焦 “代谢调控”，通过人才引进，资源整合，引导激发创新研究，推动研究领域概念性的探索及临床问题的转化。自2009年本系筹备以来承担各类课题90项，包括多项科技部973项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目及重大研究专项，总经费达~8000万元，并发表SCI研究论文或受邀综述~130篇，获得国家科技进步二等奖、教育部高校自然科学奖二等奖等奖项。本系也是基础医学教育的重要学科，承担本科生、研究生和各种继续教育的生物化学、分子生物学以及细胞生物学课程教学，同时始终坚持科研反哺教学，在提高医学生创新能力培养中发挥了重要的作用，获得 “上海市教育先锋号”称号。本系现有PI 12名，其中国家杰出青年基金获得者1名，国家优秀青年基金获得者1名，国家高层次青年人才2名，上海高层次人才1名。 71名教职员工分布于PI研究组和2个教学相关的课程组，其中正教授（研究员）15名，副教授（副研究员）15名，博士生导师15名，硕士生导师7名，博士后12名。本系也率先建立一系列规范严格的研究生培养制度，培养了一大批优秀毕业生，目前在读研究生52名，其中博士生30人，硕士生22人。研究生培养制度成为学院示范，同时也为本系科研的良性循环提供了保障 。系内支持PI的成长及青年研究人员的培养，已有1名PI成为交大特聘教授，5名PI成为基础医学院特聘教授，数名青年研究人员成为副研究员。

Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology is committed to conduct cutting-edge research that addresses critical clinical needs and to educate and train the next generation of biomedicine science leaders. Research in our department focus on fundamental and applied questions related to tumor biology, epigenetic regulation, cardiovascular disease, mitochondria biology and neurological diseases. We also engage in highly collaborative clinical research with affiliated hospitals of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. We plan to recruit outstanding young investigators who aim to explore frontier research on metabolism regulation in a broad sense. And we are thriving to foster an outstanding research environment that is enriched with integrative intellectual expertise and modern technology. We are also pride to create a friendly, supportive, and interactive atmosphere to train our highly motivated students and postdoctoral trainees.
