|Three people in School of Medicine were selected into National Talents Project in 2017|
Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People‘s Republic of China formally announced the list of candidates for the 2017 National Talents Project, and 411 candidateshave been selected who were from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other ministries and commissions of the nation or provinces, among which A total of 3 candidates are from School of Medicine, including Bi Yufang fromthe affiliated Ruijin Hospital, Ma Xiong from the affiliatedRenji Hospital, and Jiang Xinquan from the affliatedNinth People’s Hospital. Up to now, 30 peoplein our school have been enrolled in the National Talents Project.
National Talents Project was launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Securitytogether with the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, National Development and Reform Commission, Natural Science Foundation, and China Association for Science and Technology, aiming to train and selectleading talents of academic and technical personnel. Since it focus selecting and training talents at the frontier of science and technology in the world and those high-level young and middle-aged talents who can lead and support major national science and technology andachieve leapfrog development in key areas, it is very difficult to get included.
Candidates from our school have undergone formal examination, communication, publicity and review, approval and other procedures and then were reported to the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security, finallyBi Yufang fromthe affiliated Ruijin Hospital, Ma Xiong from the affiliatedRenji Hospital, and Jiang Xinquan from the affliatedNinth People‘s Hospitalwere selected. According to the list, 15 candidateswere selected in Shanghai universities and colleges, including 2 from Fudan University, 2 from East China Normal University, 4 from Shanghai JiaoTong University and 3 fromSchool of Medicne, which fully demonstrated that the general level of personnel training in our school has steadily risen in recent years. .
In the next few years, School of Medicine will continue to adhere to the principle of “taking the first-class as the goal, subject-based, performance-based leverage and reform as the driving force”, focus on the strategic layout of the school and the key development directions of the disciplines, establish a global perspective and strive to attract more leaders and high-level talents, further to rank among the world’s top medical colleges.
